HOW WE BEGAN

Our History

TMI Contractors was founded in October 1979 as a structural steel fabricator and erector and has become an industry leader in fabricated structural steel. Since then, TMI Contractors has expanded its areas of expertise to include a diverse variety of new services.

Current Openings

Overview
Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.

 

High school diploma or GED preferred.

 

Successful candidates possess or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of welding/fitting. Works under moderate supervision. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience or may have 0 years of experience plus an associate’s degree, or additional training, or certification.

 

The job environment can be dirty/ dusty. Will require lifting 50+ pounds on occasion.

Overview
Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. High school diploma or GED preferred. Successful candidates possess a moderate understanding of general aspects of fabrication processes and will work under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.

 

Job environment can be dirty/dusty. Will require lifting 50+ pounds on occasion.
